So most people typically shake the menu up when it comes to Christmas. We asked people in Oklahoma what they eat on Christmas, and some of their menus will surprise you.

A traditional Christmas dinner, mostly depicted in holiday movies, is very similar to Thanksgiving dinner - a giant turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce and the rest of the usual works. Other traditional Christmas dinners include a honey glazed ham, prime rib, brisket or roast beef.

What do people in Oklahoma eat for Christmas?

My family has been in Oklahoma for several generations, dating back to pre-statehood. And we have always had something different for Christmas dinner. For the longest time, we had a repeat of Thanksgiving dinner on Christmas Eve with the big turkey and everything. But people in my family began to grow tired of the same food on back-to-back holidays. We've since had brisket, steak, a baked potato bar and this year, we're really shaking things up by having sandwiches and appetizers.
