
Cold Front Hits Oklahoma With Storms And Low Temps This Weekend
Winter may have one last laugh this weekend in Oklahoma. Near-freezing temperatures are expected over the weekend after hot, humid and stormy week.
A cold front will arrive Friday that will bring daytime highs back down to near-average temperatures. But overnight lows will plunge well-below normal, however, temperatures are expected to remain above freezing.
A cold front Friday will cool down Oklahoma through the weekend and into next week.
After the cold front comes through Friday, daytime highs across the state on Saturday will be in the low to mid 60s. On Sunday, daytime highs will creep up into the 70s and will continue in the 70s through Tuesday of next week.
Overnight lows on Saturday are expected to be the coolest over the week, with temperatures from 35 to 38 degrees Saturday evening and early Sunday morning. Overnight temperatures will remain in the 40s to 50s through Tuesday next week.

More severe weather expected across Oklahoma with Friday's cold front.
Friday's cold front will not only bring in cooler temperatures, it will also usher in another round of severe weather. Severe storms are possible Friday afternoon and into the overnight hours. All hazards are possible, including large hail, damaging wind gusts, and tornadoes.
As of Thursday afternoon, portions of northern and north central Oklahoma are at an enhanced risk, while surrounding areas are at a slight risk. Oklahomans are encouraged to remain weather aware and have multiple ways to receive alerts.
