
Texoma Weather Lab Launches The Largest Towercam Network In Western Oklahoma
Severe storms have already impacted Oklahoma in the new year, so residents are already tuning in to their local meteorologists! And just in time for the severe weather, Texoma Weather Lab launched the largest towercam network in western Oklahoma.
Listeners of KLAW 101, Z94 and 107.3 PopCrush, can hear Meteorologist Austin Bowling give the breakdown of local weather. But they can also tune in to his forecasts or live storm coverage on the Texoma Weather Lab Facebook page and YouTube channel.
And just before the holidays, Bowling announced that Texoma Weather Lab would be putting together the largest towercam network in southwest Oklahoma!
Texoma Weather Lab launches first camera in Walters.
On Tuesday, Jan. 6, Texoma Weather Lab's first camera was installed in Walters on the roof of the Walters Public Library. According to a Facebook post from Bowling, this is the first weather camera the town of Walters has ever had.
Other counties that are expected to have weather cameras installed with Texoma Weather Lab include Jackson, Tillman, Kiowa, Comanche and Stephens.

Texoma Weather Lab received nearly five million views in 2025.
Oklahoma residents have a lot of choices when it comes to who they get their weather information from. Meteorologists are so popular in Oklahoma that residents often try to rank who is the best of them all.
Some of local meteorologists report on the weather at local news stations. But there are several popular meteorologists in Oklahoma that report on the weather through social media, like Bowling.
Bowling was already a favorite meteorologist in southwest Oklahoma. Residents enjoyed his coverage of the weather as KSWO's Chief Meteorologist from 2014 to 2018. So when he started Texoma Weather Lab, residents who were fans of his forecasting were more than eager to tune in to his weather reports.
And it looks like in 2025, Bowling and Texoma Weather Lab gained a formidable following. Now with the new cameras, 2026 is looking to be an impressive year of weather coverage for Bowling and Texoma Weather Lab!
