We're so close to starting concert season in Oklahoma, we can almost taste it!

This year, Beats and Bites in Norman, Oklahoma, is celebrating an astounding ten years of hosting live music in the heart of the Sooner state. Beats and Bites is one of the largest and longest-running outdoor concert series held at Riverwind Casino.

They just released the 2026 line-up of headliners for the festival, and everyone's buzzing with excitement. By the looks of the list, July can't get here quickly enough. Here's who you can expect to see on the 2026 Beats and Bites main stage.

Beats * Bites Will feature Cheap Trick, Flatland Calvary, Clay Walker, and More

Beats and Bites stands out above other festivals because it happens multiple weekends. This year, the first concert will happen in June, and the last concert will happen in September. The lineup will go as follows:

  • Saturday, June 13: Cheap Trick with Gin Blossoms
  • Saturday, July 11: Flatland Calvary with Jason Boland & The Stragglers
  • Saturday, August 8: Jake Owen with Jordan Rainer
  • Saturday, September 4: Clay Walker with Terri Clark

The concerts are always the highlight of the festival. Since the festival is held outdoors in the casino parking lot, you can have any kind of concert experience you want.

The party crowd always arrives early to get the seats closest to the stage. If you want to experience the thrill of the band up close and personal, and the best chance to appear on the big screens by the stage, then you'll want to join the party crowd.

But, if you want more of a relaxed concert, you can always bring your own lawn chair and hang out farther back on the parking lot. Sometimes seeing all of the craziness by the stage actually adds to your own concert experience.

Each year, the crowds get bigger, and the entertainment just gets better. Last year's event was incredible because of the star musicians and performers they brought in, and I do not doubt that this year will be just as fun.

As much as we all love the music, Beats and Bites wouldn't be the same without the food trucks.

Beats & Bites Supports Live Music & Local Businesses With Food Trucks

Even though the festival usually has big-name artists, Riverwind still finds a way to support local artists. They do it by bringing in over 20 locally-owned food trucks for the hundreds of people who come to the festival.

One of our very own favorite local vendors, Sugar Shane's Kettle Corn & Pork Rinds, attends as often as they can. Misty McCathern with Sugar Shane's explained why they keep coming back every year.

"It's such an eclectic vibe!" she said. "People out here just enjoying life and enjoying the hottest music and some of the best food trucks in the state."

It's one thing if the concertgoers love the festival; it's even better when the vendors also enjoy being part of the experience.

Tickets for the concerts have not gone on sale yet, but they likely will soon. Follow Riverwind Casino for more updates about the ticket sales and information about the event.
