73 year-old Joy Washington was putting together scrapbooks and photo albums before the tornado tore through her home. While she huddled in the hallway, she said that she "heard all this crashing, and booming, and breaking glass." But all while this was happening, she couldn't stop thinking of her three dogs, worried that they may not have made it.

After the tornado moved on, she was able to find two of them, but was still missing the third. Thanks to the local rescue 4Paws in Pawhuska, she was reunited with the third after they searched through the debris.

Another family recently was reaching out to find their loved Anatolian Shepard that went missing after the tornado passed through. The animal was deaf and shy of people, so it took some time to find him. But luckily he was found safe and returned home.

During this storm season, we've heard the saying "don't be scared, be prepared" more often than anything else. When you're preparing, make sure you're including the entire family, even the ones with tails.
