Blue Bell Releases Another Five Star Flavor Sensation!

We Sensed This Was Coming!

I guess you could call me a "bloodhound for ice cream".  Yesterday morning I was thinking of texting my friend with Blue Bell Ice Cream and saying, "It's awful quiet over there, what's going on?". Before I could do that, I got a text saying a new flavor was hitting shelves this week.

Blue Bell Has Been Rockin'!

Blue Bell has been incredibly innovative, especially as of late, with just an amazing selection of rotating and new flavors, team ups with other brands (like A & W Root Beer Float). They have just done a great job of keeping Blue Bell "The Best Ice Cream In The Country". I'd also say that we're "The Envy Of The Country" because there's some poor saps out there that don't know, or don't have Blue Bell available.

Here It Is!

So let's get to it, because there's a lot of explaining to do. The new flavor is "Strawberry Toaster Pastry". Some of you might assume that it's strawberry ice cream, but it's not. Here's the official word on the flavor profile:

A creamy vanilla ice cream loaded with strawberry pastry pieces, colorful confetti sprinkles, and swirls of strawberry sauce and white icing.

 

The Taste Test

Okay, now let me break it down for you. First off, Blue Bell takes all the best part of toaster pastries and leaves the rest behind. First off, the strawberry swirl against that creamy vanilla reminds me of those "strawberry sundae" cups, but with a much better vanilla ice cream. The pastry pieces remain crunchy (I'm still overly fascinated by how they do that). Finally, the confetti sprinkles reflect the taste of the white icing without that dyed or chemical flavor. This ice cream is truly on point.

IMPORTANT!

Here is the most important thing I can tell you; this ice cream is only available in pints. You will not find it in the half-gallons. Make sure you look for it in the right place before you give up. The container is hot pink with a gold rim and in stores now!  Bluebell for the win again!
