NASA Drove a 747 Through Houston Last Night [WATCH]
The visitor center at Johnson Space Center is getting one heck of a new exhibit. Say hello to the Space Shuttle Transporter 747, and eventually the Space Shuttle mock-up Independence.
For the last couple of nights, if you found yourself in Houston very late, you might have seen an incredible sight: a thousand-foot-long motorcade of Boeing 747 airliner parts, moving slowly towards Johnson Space Center. They'll get reassembled there into a new 12 million dollar exhibit, showcasing the Shuttle and its Earthly chauffeur. I can't wait to see it.
