New Years Day have revealed the inspiration behind their upcoming album Unbreakable. The band recently sat down for a live acoustic set and Q&A in New York with Katherine Turman to officially reveal the title of the album to fans. The band also discussed their favorite songs and their upcoming tour with Falling in Reverse.

New Years Day's last full-length release was 2015's Malevolence. Frontwoman Ash Costello details the growth and changes the band has endured between then and when they began writing for Unbreakable. "I wrote that [Malevolence album] and recorded it when I was probably in the worst place in my life I've ever been in, ever. I didn't even think I was going to make it out alive on the other side at that point. It was a very dark time, and it shows in those songs," the singer recalls.

She continues, "Then my life changed. My band was doing well and I met my fiancé and everything was coming together. My life just kind of turned around right when I was at the breaking point. This album reflects that, it's very different than Malevolence. It's much more powerful, it's much more confident, it's much more uplifting. It's a light at the end of the tunnel to the darkness I was going through." Watch the full interview below.

Unbreakable will be released April 26 through RED Music. The album can be pre-ordered here. New Years Day will be supporting Falling in Reverse on their U.S. tour in April and May. See the track listing for Unbreakable and the full list of tour dates below.
