Oklahoma’s Next Round of Severe Weather is Stacking Up
While the month of May has been rather gentle across most of Oklahoma so far, you know it wasn't going to last.
We saw the first inklings of a typical Oklahoma May over the weekend with jaw-dropping hailstorms in Yukon and across Central and Southern OK. Now comes the larger risk, hopefully with a little more rain.

The first predictions are going up now for Saturday, May 16th, across Western Oklahoma, pretty much border to border, north and south.
Granted, it's too early to really nail down what the risks will be today, the 15% chance of a wider outbreak will either get better or worse as we roll through this week.
It's a real bummer, or maybe a blessing to the crowd of people planning on attending the Twister 30th Anniversary up in Wakita this weekend.
Beyond this weekend, the weather community as a whole is starting to whisper about the last ten days of the month. They're expecting, or at least favoring the odds, of a big Severe Season Finale as we head into June... but that's weeks away, and you know how the forecast does this time of year.
Will it happen? Nobody knows. The differing weather models aren't in agreement yet on what could happen. We'll have to wait and see.
