As we roll towards mid-May, now is the time most families start thinking about the unofficial kickoff to the Oklahoma Summer over Memorial Day Weekend.

Will the weather behave for us? Or is this overwhelmingly wet Spring going to follow us all into the holiday weekend?

Regardless, there are a ton of things to do close to home - or at least in the state - that big and little kids will love all the same.

OKC's theme park is always a blast for the younger teen/tween crowd, and the many water parks spread across the state are pretty convenient to almost anywhere. The older kids might enjoy the clearwater lakes like Tenkiller and Murray, but with a shockingly cool spring, it may still be too cold to make the most of it.

If you're looking for something fun to do with the family, here are some Oklahoma ideas.
