With so many of Oklahoma's newest young adults headed off to college, the new school safety rankings have dropped for the year.

None of the schools you'd expect to see on this list appear here, but the real shockers stand the test of time. Smaller schools and the smallest towns tend to be the safest places to send your kids.

Oklahoma State University in Stillwater might offer a small-town experience in higher education and a great education at that, but any school that big has its own problems with student safety.

Top marks for value of degree, agriculture programs, and athletics, the thriving social/party scene, and Greek system in Stilly make for plenty of incidents.

Same/same in Norman and the UofO.
