Opeth have shared a quick teaser of a new song from In Cauda Venenum, the Swedish prog-metal outfit's upcoming album they officially announced in May. The "first snippet of music" from the release due later this year was delivered Monday (July 1) in the form of a video trailer for the band's 2019 European tour.

The new song, entitled "Hjärtat Vet Vad Handen Gör" according to Blabbermouth, gives Opeth fans an audible introduction to the anticipated follow-up to 2016's Sorceress. The group's new album is expected to be released this fall. Hear the new song snippet in the video down toward the bottom of this post.

"Recorded last year at Stockholm's Park Studios, In Cauda Venenum will be released in two versions, in both Swedish and English languages," a statement in the video's description details. "Various physical and digital formats will be available and additional details will be announced in the coming months."
