People Dancing, People Laughing…Another Saturday In The (Medicine) Park
Medicine Park has plans to pay tribute to our troops this weekend with their latest concert event and a fun run dedicated to those that serve and protect, and to help those fighting the fight against cancer.
On Saturday, June 10th, Medicine Park will be host to the very first Remember Our Troops Concert, featuring 12 hours of music covering all genres of music, with something for everybody. The concert will take place on the Main Stage, with the entertainment getting underway at 11 a.m. and continuing throughout the day.
The National Remember Our Troops Campaign will be on hand, manning a booth with information on how to help soldiers and veterans. The organization will also accept donations for veteran affairs and assistance organizations.
But the music festival is not the only reason to head to Medicine Park on Saturday. The 8th annual Comanche County Boots & Bling Color Run will also be held on Saturday morning, benefiting the American Cancer Society and Toby Keith's OK Kids Korral. The Survival Stroll and Boots & Bling Scoot 1-mile fun run will get things underway at 8 a.m. and the 5k Color Run will get underway at 8:30. Entry fees are $20 for the Survill Stroll and Fun Run, and $30 for the Color Run. Registrations will get underway at 7 a.m. in the tent on E. Lake Drive.
So head on out to Medicine Park on Saturday for a full day of fun, music and great times for the whole family!
