Rocker Vince Neil Charged In Fight With Ex-Girlfriend

Rocker Vince Neil has been charged with battery and disorderly conduct for allegedly jabbing his ex-girlfriend at a Las Vegas theater, prosecutors said on Tuesday. 

The charges stem from a March 24 altercation between the 50 year-old Motley Crue singer and former girlfriend of seven months, Alicia Jacobs, at the Shimmer Cabaret lounge at the Las Vegas Hilton.

Neil approached Jacobs at a table she shared with two friends, Patricia McCrone and John Katsilometes, pointing his finger at them and shouting obscenities, according to a report by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.

Neil, who split with Jacobs two weeks earlier, then jabbed her in the right shoulder, according to the report.

Katsilometes, who is a columnist for the Las Vegas Sun, wrote about the incident in the newspaper the following day.

Neil is scheduled to be arraigned May 2 in Las Vegas Justice Court. It is his second brush with the law in recent months, having been arrested in June 2010 for drunk driving, which led to 10 days in jail in February.

His attorney, David Chesnoff, said his client will plead not guilty and that he is "looking forward to vigorously defending this case."
