Something New is Coming to the Corner of Cache and Sheridan

If you've been near the intersection of Sheridan and Cache in Lawton lately you've seen all the construction going on, it's close to the 1,400 block of Sheridan next to China Wok restaurant. Whatever it is they're moving along on the project. From the looks of what we've seen so far it looks like it will be two stories, if not it'll have really high ceilings. Everyone's excited to find out just what it is and when it will open up.

We're all taking bets to see who's right once we finally find out exactly what it is. We've heard garage, oil change shop, bank, shopping center, new restaurant, cell phone place, jewelry store and just about every other imaginable business type. So what do you think it is? Whatever it is it'll be nice to see something else opening up in Lawton, especially after all the shutdowns and closures we've seen during the COVID-19 pandemic. It's been a rough couple of months for local and area businesses and customers. If you know what's being built on Sheridan and Cache please share, let us know in the comments below.

Anytime there's ground broke and construction starts everyone gets excited and starts naming off things they'd like to see or want in town, myself included. Remember all those years of waiting for Olive Garden to open in Lawton? Every time something was being built or ground was broke everyone would say "That's where Olive Garden is going" that went on for years. Then the magic day happened and we got an Olive Garden! Of course there's always a wish-list of stores and restaurants we'd love to have in Lawton. What new stores or restaurants are you wishing for? I'm thinking In-N-Out or Taco Casa!
