City of Lawton Reopens Today as Weather Conditions Improve
Well, it looks like we're finally going to see some warmer temperatures in Lawton, Fort Sill over the next couple of days. It's been over a week that we've been at below freezing and even negative temperatures, so come on warmer weather. It won't get too warm, but compared to where we've been it'll feel tropical. We'll be seeing temperatures in the high 30's tomorrow and up into the mid 40's throughout the weekend. Things should start melting off and thawing out by Monday.

City Hall to Remain Closed Today Due to Winter Storm [UPDATE]
With the winter storm dumping snow everywhere the City of Lawton has closed Town Hall and a few other properties for the day. If you don't have to get out on the roads, don't. It's gotten pretty bad out there and it's getting worse by the minute. We're expecting anywhere between 3-7 inches of snow today and the forecast calls for more snow tomorrow as well. Not only that it's incredibly cold outside, temperatures are at record lows in single digits and even below zero and negative numbers at times.

City of Lawton Temporarily Closes Facilities Due to COVID-19
The City of Lawton has announced that it will be temporarily closing all facilities to the general public until further notice due to COVID-19. By doing so they hope to help slow or stop the spread of Coronavirus. All of S.W. Oklahoma, Comanche County included, has seen a significant increase in positive cases and hospitalizations.
