It's laughable and insulting that some of our quote, unquote city leaders, and council members say it's going great and has helped with litter and excess trash. Who the hell are they kidding? They must live outside the city limits because our neighborhoods look like a damn alley in Bangkok.

The annual Lawton, Fort Sill Armed Forces Day parade returns on Saturday, May 21st (05-21-22). The Lawton, Fort SIll Chamber of Commerce along with the Lawton, Fort Sill Convention & Visitors Bureau just officially announced the parade for 2022.

Well, here we are day three of Mother Nature's frozen wonderland. It's been a crazy couple of days in Lawton, Fort Sill and it's not over yet! Things are slowly but surely starting to melt off, but we've got a ways to go before the roads are clear.

We'd like to say a BIG THANK YOU to all of our City f Lawton workers and street crews for everything they've done for us over the past couple of days. They've been out night and day in all this madness spreading salt and sand to help improve the road conditions in Lawton, Fort Sill.

More firearm legislation is headed to the Oklahoma House for a vote. House Bill (HB-3069) would grant municipalities the authority to allow city employees to carry concealed firearms while at work or on duty. The bill would amend various prohibited locations and properties that are currently restricted such as properties, buildings, structures, and office space that is owned by the city which does business with the public.

So if it were left up to you what would be the one thing you would want fixed and/or changed in Lawton, Fort Sill most? I think it's fair to say most, if not all of us, have a list of things we'd like to see addressed.

The City of Lawton is working on some busted water pipes this afternoon on the 6500 block of West Gore Boulevard. If you live or have a business along West Gore from Northwest 67th Street to Northwest Compass you'll be without water for the next 6-8 hours while repairs are being made.
