It's back, Lawton's RV, Boat, and Outdoor Leisure Show returns to the Comanche County Fairgrounds this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, February 11th through the 13th. Even better from what it's looking like Mother Nature is going to be somewhat cooperative.
Coming up this Wednesday, May 12th (05-12-21) the CCHD (Comanche County Health Department) will be hosting a drive thru COVID-19 vaccination event at the Great Plains Coliseum located at 920 South Sheridan Road from 8:00am until 6:00pm. You can just pull in and get your shot and no appointment is necessary. All persons that are age 16 plus are eligible. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to get vaccinated.
Coming to the Great Plains Coliseum this weekend Saturday, April 10th and Sunday, April 11th (04-10-21 - 04-11-21) Mountain Metro Ambucs and Sweet Temptationz Car Club present the 2021 Trykes N' Tread car show. It's a great time and for a good cause. Proceeds will go to purchase AmTrykes, materials to build wheel chair ramps and to fund scholarships for health care professionals who assist disabled persons and those who suffer from limited mobility. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent winter storms S.W. Oklahoma is facing a serious, more like critical blood shortage in the state. The OBI (Oklahoma Blood Institute) is asking for your help. Going on today at the Great Plains Coliseum 920 S.W. Sheridan Road from 10:00am until 4:00pm the OBI will be holding a blood drive. All persons are encouraged to donate if at all possible.

Sunday night, the men and women of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) invaded the Great Plains Coliseum on the Comanche County Fairgrounds in Lawton, and from the smiles on the faces of those in attendance, I would say it was a successful take-over.
The outcome was in doubt until the last second, the final shot, but long before the buzzer sounded the Harlem Globetrotters won the hearts of hundreds in attendance at the Great Plains Coliseum Monday night.
