Gold is the title of Matthew McConaughey’s new movie — it also happens to be the color of the Oscar statue, which is fitting, as the latest effort from filmmaker Stephen Gaghan (Syriana) looks like it could make the beloved actor an awards season contender once again. The first trailer for the holiday season release has arrived, touting a bald and bold McConaughey as man desperate to strike it rich. Spoiler: He does, but that treasure comes at a cost (insert sad trombone).
The Dark Tower won’t hit theaters until next February, but the viral marketing campaign for the long-awaited adaptation has officially kicked off ahead of Comic-Con 2016 (which starts this week; yes, really). Following this week’s huge batch of sneak peeks, Sony has released a downloadable app for The Sombra Group, which book readers will instantly recognize as the nefarious corporation used by sinister forces to keep a foothold in our world and aid them in their quest to destroy the titular tower.

HBO's 'True Detective' has come and gone, and even as the reception of its first season finale "Form and Void" remains divided, fans already desire more time spent with Matthew McConaughey's Rustin Cohle and Woody Harrelson's Martin Hart. At least one of those wishes we can grant, with a brand-new 'True Detective' deleted scene that reveals how Rust broke up with his girlfriend Lori (Eli
