Modern grindcore titans Pig Destroyer got some serious exposure on the April 16 episode of Comedy Central's 'Workaholics.' The cult comedy show used Pig Destroyer's 'The Diplomat' as brutal background music while the 'Workaholics' trio annihilated a massive infestation of rats with ruthless aggression.

As fans of Virginia grindcore outfit Pig Destroyer patiently wait out the Oct. 22 release of their new disc ‘Book Burner,’ the band is throwing out a bone in the form of a new lyric video for the tune ‘Burning Palm.’

It has been five long years since the last Pig Destroyer full-length, and finally the grindcore gurus have completed their fifth album. ‘Book Burner’ will be released Oct. 23 by Relapse Records. The 19 skull-crushing tracks were recorded at guitarist Scott Hull’s Visceral Sound Studios. The band has also released a video via Decibel.com (watch below) of the recording process.
