The trailer showed an old Ezio Auditore travel to the old Assassin stronghold of Masyaf to learn about the history of the order only to find that Templars now rule the fortress. Can't say much for the actual game though, was not very impressed.

The first trailer that Bioware released for their MMO set in 'a galaxy far far away' was perhaps one of the best trailers for anything Star Wars related. The 'Deceived' trailer shows Darth Malgus leading an invasion of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Also the fact that the dark side won is an added bonus for this trailer winning.

Back in 2005 when the Playstation 3 wasn't even out yet. Hideo Kojima made an announcement of the fourth entry in the Metal Gear series. However, he didn't make a trailer that showed something for one minute or have some thirty second voice over. Instead, Kojima made this five minute trailer that was hilarious and made fun of not only Metal Gear but another popular stealth series at the time, Splinter Cell. This definitely wins best announcement trailer for a game, ever.
