The Lawton Forecast Is Playing Parkour The Next Few Days
It doesn't matter where you live in the world, odds are the people say something like "If you don't like the weather, wait five minutes..." It's the generic phrase that everyone can relate to. It also makes people feel like their weather is unique, but unless you live in Oklahoma, it's not.
Over the next few days, it seems Mother Nature is going to flip-flop back and forth between this amazing spring-like weather we've had and days on the cooler, more wintery side of things. Literally, each day is going to be a different season... if the forecast is true.
While the very, very late fall has been enjoyable, I'm personally looking forward to something a little cooler. Those brisk November days didn't happen this year, and the extended forecast is looking like jacket weather either, except for the next couple of days.
Why can't every day be a hoodie day?
I'm sure there are places around the United States that get these same sorts of weather patterns... that's not the uniqueness of Oklahoma, but how many places have experienced a week of record highs and lows, ice and snow, tornadoes, and an earthquake to boot? That's what I mean by the unique Oklahoma weather.
Odds are the weather will revert to the normal pattern of getting cold right around Christmas, dipping deep in January and February right before hell starts to boil over next March headed straight into the daily highs in the mid-90s.
No matter what the weather ends up doing, I think it's fair to say most people are ready to turn the thermostat to either heat or cool and leave it for a while.
We'll see how this all transpires.
