What Rockers Did for Work Before They Were Famous [PICS]
You know, these rockers weren't born famous. Before destroying hotel rooms, they had real jobs once too.
Before Freddie Mercury became one of the greatest rock singers of all time, he was an entrepreneur in London. Being a talented artist, Freddie used to hawk his paintings and second hand clothes in a kiosk at Kensington Market.
Before becoming the 'Prince of Darkness' Ozzy worked at a slaughterhouse. He said “I had to slice open the cow carcasses and all the gunk out of their stomachs. I used to vomit every day; the smell was something else.” Lavish, I know.
Kurt Cobain was a janitor before striking gold with Nirvana. The man lived grunge, saying “When I was a janitor I used to work with these guys Rocky and Bullwinkle. They’d clean the toilet bowls with their bare hands and then eat their lunch without washing their hands. They were very grungy”
Mick Jagger used to tell stories of how he worked as a porter in an English psychiatric hospital when he was younger. Proclaiming that he lost his v-card to a nurse in a closet.
Silver spooner Kieth Richards used to shag balls at his dads tennis club when he was a boy. While you might call shenanigans, a job is a job, and apparently it paid.
Badass Jack White was a legitimate upholsterer in his life as a muggle. Running 'Third Man Upholstery' in Detroit before moving on to owning 'Third Man Records" these days.
And in case you didn't know, Courtney Love used to work as a stripper in Hollywood... Shocker, I know.
So, while you're working your way to the top, remember... Even the coolest rockers worked those crap-jobs once. When the going gets tough, keep going... or say "**** it" and start stripping.
