On August 25, We Came as Romans lost singer Kyle Pavone to an accidental overdose. The band vowed to carry on in his absence, remaining committed to their tour opening for Bullet for My Valentine, though they said Pavone would not be replaced on this run. The metalcore veterans will honor the late singer with the "Promise Me Tribute Show" featuring an array of special guest performers.

The concert is set for October 28 at The Fillmore in Detroit, Michigan and will benefit the Kyle Pavone Foundation, which was established to help serve the music community, offering mental health and substance abuse counseling among other matters. Issues' Tyler Carter, August Burns Red's Jake Luhrs, Memphis May Fire's Matty Mullins, I Prevail's Eric Vanlerberghe, members of Born of Osiris, For Today, and Nick Sampson are all slated to appear onstage with We Came as Romans.

The night will also feature some of Pavone's favorite electronic artists and DJs; more details about the event will be coming in a future update.

We Came as Romans' tour with Bullet for My Valentine comes to a close on October 16 and you can see a list of remaining stops here. At the first show of the tour, co-vocalist David Stephens told the crowd, "This is something I wasn't sure we’d ever get to do again. I think it's what he would have wanted. I think it's the best way to honor his legacy. One of the things that I admired most about him was his ability to not regret his past, not worry about his future and live in the present and enjoy that moment because he believed things could change so quickly and those great things could be taken from you in a heartbeat."
