We're living through a weird period of time at the moment when Motley Crue is still touring, yet just about everyone who goes leaves underwhelmed. It's the natural order of things. We never forget how to ride a bicycle, but over time we lose the ability.
I like to reference WIllie Nelson when we talk about greats who've gone on long after they should have hung things up. Sure, he's an absolute legend who wrote some amazing songs and will leave a legacy that won't be forgotten, but if you've seen him in concert over the last twenty years or so, it's less "Willie" and more "Will he sing?"

Luckily, cover bands are still a thing, and good thing they are. While some may look down and judge, I wasn't fortunate enough to grow up a Boomer in the golden age of the Beatles or The Beach Boys, but through cheap cover bands who sound amazing, we get to experience a next-best thing to being there in the early days.
Crueligans - a Motley Crue cover band - has a show coming up at Beer City Music Hall on April 12th in OKC.
Now the next generation can experience what it was like in the 80s, back in Motley's prime.
