The 4th ranked Lawton High Wolverines outscored the Bartlesville Bruins 28-7 in the 2nd quarter en route to a 56-24 victory in the 1st round of the 6AII playoffs Friday night at Cameron Stadium in Lawton.

Darreyl Patterson ran for 192 yards and 3 touchdowns on 17 carries while Jack Meservy threw for 143 yards and tossed 2 td passes, one to Kalin Sadler and the other to Marcheenan Hair to lead the Wolverines to the first round victory. Dequan Weaver showed promise for the Wolverine future as he finished the game in the backfield for Lawton, carrying the ball 10 times for 98 yards and a touchdown, while Tre Curry added 44 yards and 2 touchdowns on 8 carries for the Wolverines.

The Lawton defense allowed Colton Penrod to throw for 231 yards and 3 touchdowns on 20-of-29 passing for the night, but kept the Bruin running game from getting on tract, allowing only 113 rushing yards on the night. Levi Cain added an interception, while Mahlik Hannah added a pair of sacks for the Wolverines.

The Wolverines advance to the semifinals where they'll face #6 Booker T. Washington, who defeated Choctaw 45-14 Friday night to advance to the second round.
