Bored? Get Lost In Hochatown’s Enormous Maze
How often do you hear a boring person unwilling to experience life say something stupid like "There's nothing to do in Oklahoma"? It's a travesty that some people are so plain, they can't enjoy the simple pleasures of finding stuff to do for themselves. Luckily, there's people like you and I to help guide their frustrated nothingness of existence into a life of entertainment. Today we head to Hochatown to experience an incredibly huge 29,000 square foot maze.
So lets say you live in a town best known for the local lake and your highly prized city-neighbor of Broken Bow. How do you gain a little spotlight for yourself? I suppose you could strike the kind of fear into your child that will last a lifetime of nightmares and some pricey therapy bills by hiring a bigfoot to randomly show up at a six year olds birthday party... or you could put your fencing skills to good use and design a public destination like this. It looks pretty amazing, like it'd be fun to grab your friends and literally get lost for a bit trying to work your way through it.
Before you say something about not liking small spaces or your might feel trapped, no worries. This maze is staffed with workers to help those that need it as you work your way around seeking the hidden clues strewn throughout.
So how long does it take to make it through the maze? Well, it depends on your competence I'd imagine. It's only been open for use the last few months and some groups have made it through relatively quickly, others have not. As you can tell, there are observation decks in the middle so you can at least formulate a plan and route to follow, but sticking to the plan is always the achilles heal of every attempt.
The next time someone complains that Oklahoma is boring, tell them to get lost... in this maze.
