It's human nature. If you were to ask ten people where the best food in (any town) was, you'd likely get ten different answers. But when you expand your options across a wider area, the whole state of Oklahoma in this case, the suggestions start repeating themselves.

While we all collectively wish there was one restaurant that made everything to perfection, that's not how life works. While there are good eats in every town, when the menu narrows a bit there are bound to be a few standouts.

We hopped on Facebook and Instagram asking people where their favorite foods were and the answers didn't disappoint. While responses were overwhelmingly in Southwest Oklahoma - because we're home sweet home in the Shady-580 - foodies flooded the comments with the best eats you'll find from our end of I-44 all the way to the other end.

It's far too easy to be lulled into thinking the same old chain restaurants are the "good" places to eat across Southwest Oklahoma. You won't find a single franchise on this list.
