I swear, Oklahoma can't go three weeks without creating a headline that makes the rest of America stop scrolling.

This time, it involves a Broken Bow Arby's, an employee accused of spitting in a customer's sandwich, a herpes diagnosis, a lawsuit, and about 14 million people on social media suddenly becoming infectious disease experts.

If you've somehow missed this story, a former Arby's manager in Broken Bow is accused of spitting in a customer's food. The customer later tested positive for herpes and is now suing Arby's.

Now here's where things got interesting.

The internet did what it always does and immediately reached a verdict.

"That's impossible."

The funniest part is that the entire country is treating this like some impossible science fiction scenario when the actual accusation isn't that someone caught herpes from standing six feet away from another person.

The allegation is that someone with an active outbreak intentionally spat directly onto food that was immediately consumed.

Again, whether that caused the infection is something lawyers will rack up a ton of money arguing about later, but for now, it's plausible enough that the Arby's employee has been arrested and charged with a felony.
