Social media in Lawton, Oklahoma, started buzzing this afternoon (Tuesday, Oct. 10) when it was leaked on a local Facebook group that Casey's has possibly acquired EZGO from Love's.

Now, we can't say this is certain as there hasn't been any official announcement. But we thought we should share what's been posted on social media.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Love's was buying out EZGO. Funnily enough, this bit of news leaked on social media as well before any official announcement. Since then, Love's has slowly been making the change over. Some changes were swift though, including change out the inventories and switching over the gas pumps and payment systems, which left Lawtonians extremely frustrated.

What's been most noticeable though is that Love's has wasted no time making the official exterior changes to the EZGO locations on the highway, one north of Chickasha and one south of Walters. But, all of the locations in Lawton still rep EZGO?

Which has Lawtonians wondering: did Love's only buy EZGO for the highway locations?

Well, if the rumors that Casey's is buying EZGO from Love's, then is it just the locations not on major highways?? Lawtonians have a lot of questions if this buy is true.

Here's what was leaked on social media.

It looks like a Lawtonian with a possible connection to EZGO/Love's posted in the private Lawton Grapevine group on Facebook that Love's "sold (EZGO) again."

They even added what looks to be an official letter from Casey's to EZGO employees regarding the acquisition and said in the comments that it's "all Lawton stores."

Here's closer look at the picture of the letter that was posted.

If you're wondering, 'what's Casey's anyway??'

Casey's is, of course, another gas station company with other locations in Oklahoma but originally started in Iowa. Based on the other comments in the above Facebook post, Lawtonians seem particularly excited about this possible acquisition because of Casey's pizza.

Still no official announcement though.

But as of 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10, there has been no official announcement made from Love's or Casey's, and nothing has been posted to the companies respective social media accounts. We'll keep you updated if we hear of anything official! Be sure to download our station app for fast updates.
