Check Out the New Miles Davis Mural in Lawton!

We have a new mural in Lawton, Fort Sill thanks to the efforts of Justin Hackney and Spreading PAINT. You can find the new mural on the North side of Phillips Music Company located at 107 S.W. Sheridan Road right next door to Wayne's Drive in. It's best viewed from Wayne's which is how I first saw it.

I pulled in to get a quick bite to eat and there it was. It's a huge pink and blue mural of the one and only Miles Davis! It's fitting that it's on the side of Phillips Music Company as Mr. Davis was one of the most influential and celebrated jazz musicians of all time. This makes the second mural on the side of Phillips, The Beatles are on the other side of the building. There's room for more if they want to to add to the collection.

Justin Hackney and Spreading PAINT have done some really amazing murals around town and it's not looking like he'll be quitting anytime soon. I really enjoy his work and seeing new murals pop up around Lawton, Fort Sill. With Spring/Summer here I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of his work as the days go by.

If you're unfamiliar with his work he's the one that just painted the Jay & Silent Bob mural on the side of Blvd Smoke Shop and Beerhaus located at 2601 N.W. Fort Sill Blvd. I love his Clint Eastwood "Dirty Harry" on Sanders Hardware at 1214 N.W. Cache Road. One of his biggest pieces so far is the "Fab Four" mural of the Beatles on the side of Phillips Music Company at 107 S.W. Sheridan Road. I'd be interested to see just how many murals Justin Hackney and Spreading PAINTS has done in Lawton, Fort Sill. There's a lot of them!
