Comanche County Memorial Hospital Reinstates COVID-19 Policies Today
Due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations CCHM (Comanche County Memorial Hospital) will be reinstating their COVID-19 policies and restrictions starting today (07-30-21).
You'll need a face mask, preferably an N-95 or similar paper/procedure style mask in order to enter the hospital. No cloth masks, bandanas or gaiters will be permitted. Temperature screenings will also be required upon entry, no one with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will be allowed to enter. If you've been to the hospital lately you know they already require face masks and perform temp screenings at entries.
By CCMH reinstating the COVID-19 restrictions and protocols it will also affect the hospital's visitors policies. For outpatient procedures or clinic appointments only one person may accompany the patient. A patient who has been hospitalized can only have two visitors during their stay and will be issued armbands to gain access to various floors and patient rooms. There may be exceptions to this, but would need prior approval.
The hospital cafeteria will be closed to the general public and all food services for non-employees will take place in the patient's room. All of the waiting rooms for inpatient will be closed as well. Hopefully things will improve for S.W. Oklahoma and we can go back to "normal" sometime soon. No word yet as to how long the reinstated policies will remain in effect. We'll keep you updated. For more information on CCMH's COVID-19 polices and restrictions visit the official website for all the details.
