72 years after 'The Greatest Generation' stormed the beaches of Normandy, the archival footage still seems unimaginable.

In the early hours of the longest day, some 160,000 young men were the first to storm the beaches of Normandy. We know from history and historically accurate movies since, the casualties were enormous. An estimated 10,000 in those first 160k.

In the coming weeks, nearly one million would walk into war on those beaches. Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, and Sword. A blur of daily strife, seemingly endless until VE-Day eleven months later. Some of the worlds best examples of being bigger than oneself.

You should know the story. It's one of hell and hope. Good and evil. It's the story of our USofA becoming back to back World War Champs in the most honorable of all wars.

If you don't know this tale of purely earned American exceptionalism, learn it. Read it. Watch it. Speak it. Know it. Teach it.
