Hockey might be the last American sport where the players are still men. It's rough, rowdy, and fist fights are just part of the game. You can't say that about any other sport. Sports like basketball and soccer might be the lamest of them all. The objective in both of those sports is to successfully fake an injury. That's something that will get you suspended in hockey. Tempers may flair in football, but a righteous fist can land any player banned from the league. Baseball may be the closest as fights on the diamond are usually spectacular, but it usually ends with ejections. In hockey, there are dedicated players paid only to skate and fight.

The entertainment is totally worth the five minutes in the penalty box.

Still, I've never seen goalies meet up at center ice and just start scrapping.
