In an update to a massive multi-manufacturer airbag recall, Ford is sounding like your average Oklahoma grandpa and urging people to stop driving their Ford vehicles.

As the marketing department in Detroit swings statements around as  "Built Ford Tough" and "Military Grade," cheap imported parts are to blame. The now-infamous Tanaka airbag debacle is still ongoing and seems to be affecting several manufacturers worldwide, but Ford seems to be taking this the hardest.

In the latest warning for consumers to respond to the recall announcement, Ford is informing people that their airbags could grenade shrapnel into their face in the event of a wreck.

Models included in this recall are:

  • 2004-2011 Ford Rangers
  • 2005-2015 Mustangs
  • 2005-2006 Ford GT
  • 2006-2012 Ford Fusion/Mercury Milan/Lincoln MKZ/Zephyr
  • 2007-2010 Ford Edge/Mercury MKX

Roughly 375,000 Ford airbags need replacing across the country.

Yikes.
