From Nearly 90 to Below Freezing, Winter Strikes Again Across Oklahoma
Welcome to the intermission between Second Spring and Last Winter across Oklahoma, where the forecasts are for fun and the points don't really matter.

Yesterday it was nearly 90° across portions of Oklahoma, albeit a little windy with the cold front that seems to still be blowing this morning. Hopefully you didn't already store away your cold-weather clothes because it's going to be downright frigid overnight and into tomorrow.
Just as Sooner State weather does in the Fall/Winter transition, the state is going to bounce back and forth between Winter and Spring for the next few weeks. It's a game of soaking up the warm days for some and savoring the cold weather for others while you can.
Yesterday was what we call Second Spring across Oklahoma. A very warm, bordering on a hot day across the plains. It's the second time Winter has had a warm push from the weather this year, but it never lasts this early into the seasonal changeover period.
By tomorrow morning, most of Oklahoma is expected to be below freezing for a very cold start to the day... At this point in the year, it's what we expect to be Last Winter, though we've been down this road before and had very hard freezes late into April in years past.
If you plant flowers, you already know the drill. Keep everything out of the dirt until Memorial Day Weekend, and don't buy the tempting half-price plants at the store after a freeze.
When will Spring spring?
I think you already know deep down there's no telling. There are already two conflicting long-term forecasts out there of what to expect into April, and they couldn't be farther apart.
One model predicts a normal end of March and the month of April with the wild Oklahoma swings between cold and comfortably warm.
The other forecast is predicting an abnormally warm April and May, practically an early Summer for the Sooner State.
You know how this goes... It'll be one, the other, or a mix of both. Either way, Mother Nature is not going to give your sinuses a break for a while until it really heats up.
