If a TV show’s been around long enough, it’s bound to touch every corner of the country eventually. Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives is no exception. Guy Fieri has rolled through Oklahoma more than a few times, soaking up every bit of gravy and fried goodness he could find.

Where Guy Fieri’s Been in Oklahoma

His road trip across the Sooner State hit just about everything: old-school classics, family-run gems, and a few trendy spots that make up today’s foodie scene. From legendary BBQ joints to tucked-away diners that only locals seem to know about, Oklahoma’s food scene has had its moment under the Triple-D spotlight.

I’ll be honest with you, I don’t spend most weekends around Lawton unless I have to. When I’ve got the time, I hit the backroads instead. Somewhere between the two-lane highways and the small-town stoplights, I’ve managed to eat my way through most of the Oklahoma spots Guy featured on the show. Some lived up to the hype. A few didn’t. But that’s the fun of it, right? Food is personal.

What I like, you might not. One of the best plates of Italian I ever had actually came from a German restaurant, so who knows? The only real way to judge a place is to go there yourself. Make the trip. Try something new. And if you can, take the long way... The drive through small towns like Alvin or Rush Springs is half the fun.

The Best Small-Town Eats Worth the Drive

Most of the Oklahoma Triple-D spots are clustered around OKC and Tulsa, but don’t forget about the hidden gems out in the sticks. Some of the best meals you’ll ever have come from hole-in-the-wall diners and mom-and-pop kitchens in Southwest Oklahoma. Can’t go wrong with those.
