There's been some confusion and misinformation about corporal punishment in Oklahoma due to new legislation that was passed (Title 70-13-116). A lot of people thought it outlawed the practice of spanking.
OKLAHOMA HAS UPDATED ITS LAWS ON CORPORAL PUNISHMENT IN SCHOOLS
The new law basically prohibits the use of corporal punishment in Oklahoma schools on students with disabilities or cognitive issues. It doesn't make corporal punishment illegal completely. Click here for details.
