See Lawton’s Living Christmas Tree This Weekend
For over 40 years First Baptist Church Lawton has gifted the Lawton community with the Living Christmas Tree! As Jeri Christmas, I dub this performance as a don't miss holiday event in Lawton. You have one weekend to see the performance of "Savior for All."
This year will be the 41st annual Living Christmas Tree for First Baptist Church Lawton. It features a 39 foot Christmas tree adorned with thousands of synchronized lights and a 100-voice choir! It's definitely a magical sight to behold. The Living Christmas Tree also features a live orchestra and various scripted performances. There will also be pre-show entertainment featuring local school choirs.
As Jeri Christmas, this is one of my favorite holiday traditions in Lawton! It celebrates Christmas in a fun and unique way, while celebrating the reason for the season! I love seeing the lights because it is SO COOL how they are synchronized to the music. A lot has changed in the last 40 years with technology, so if you haven't been to the Living Christmas Tree in a while, you should definitely check it out this year!
The Living Christmas Tree is free to attend, but the church will be accepting non-perishable food items for local food baskets. The church also offers free childcare during the performances for children ages 5 and younger. "Savior for All" will focus on the life of Jesus as seen through the eyes of his mother Mary.
