This Lawton, Oklahoma House Gives Off Brady Bunch Vibes
While I think every generation of Americans has come to expect a little Price is Right to heal your pain on the average sick-day home from school, when I was growing up it was reruns of The Brady Bunch all day afterward.
It's not that I particularly enjoyed Brady Bunch, but the 80s and 90s didn't have the limitless entertainment options today's kids have. That was really the only thing on TV after the gameshows ended and mom kicked you out of the living room so she could watch her "stories"--AKA--soap operas.
Still to this day, there are several Brady Bunch themes that persist in the pop culture of many generations...
Marsha, Marsha, Marsha
The football-to-the-face incident
and the yearning to keep on, keep on, keep on, keep on dancing through the night.
Honestly, my sisters and I were probably indoctrinated with positivity from this campy feel-good show. That's probably why that's the thing I associate with this classic Lawton, Oklahoma house that's for sale down by Cameron University. It's super vintage in some really wild ways.
