Lawton to Celebrate National ‘Free Comic Book’ Day on Saturday! [VIDEO]

Rejoice my fellow comic loving friends for tomorrow (05-05-12) is Free Comic Book Day! We can all thank Joe Field of Flying Colors Comics in Concord, CA for coming up with this ideal back in 2002 as a way to promote and get more people interested in comics. The event happens on the first Saturday of May each year so mark your calendars!

I've been reading and collecting comics since I was a kid, my passion for these wonderful works of art only deepens as I get older. I never out grew the comic craze and hope I never do. You're never too old for comics!

There's something magical about these books, the characters, stories and of course all the kick ass artwork that provide not only entertainment, but an escape from the day to day grid we all endure.

The popularity of comic books has exploded over the past couple of years thanks to people like Joe Field, industry leaders, all the fans and of course movies, TV shows and video games that have introduced an entire generation to the joys of comics. It's great to see so many people getting into it.

In celebration of 'Free Comic Book Day' join Z94 live tomorrow (05-05-12) at Carolina Comics 305 S.W. C Ave in downtown Lawton across from the Central Mall. We'll be there from 12:00pm to 2:00pm Stop by for great deals on all your favorite titles and of course FREE COMICS!
