The map above from Valenciatheaterseating.com ranks Oklahoma at #3 for the most shared Netflix passwords and accounts in the U.S. You can expect a major crackdown on this practice from the streaming service in 2023. We've been hearing about this for months, but it looks like Netflix is moving forward with its plans to end password sharing once and for all. Taking on the worst offenders first, and we're 3rd on the list!

The top 10 states that will be affected most by Netflix's crackdown on password and account sharing according to the Valencia Theater Seating map and study are Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma, Nevada, Washington, Indiana, Texas, Kentucky, New York, and Florida. Offenders in these states are on the radar.

So if you're currently using someone else's account and password you'll need to sign up for your own account. There's also talk about adding on subscribers to existing accounts for an additional charge, maybe around $3.00 a month but that hasn't been 100% confirmed. One thing is for sure, the crackdown is coming!

I think we all knew this day was coming. Most, if not all of the popular streaming services have begun cracking down on password and account sharing in one way or another. A lot of these subscription-based apps and services are struggling to keep customers due to the current economy. With so much competition and people's income being eaten away by inflation streaming services are looking to stop losses at all costs.
