NHL Super Stars Hit the Ice with GoPros [VIDEO]

Some of the biggest stars in the NHL (National Hockey League) hit the ice with GoPro cameras mounted to their helmets and the results are incredible! Being a HUGE hockey fan this really gives you a great view of the action and the skill these players have.

This is really the first time we've been given a true first person view of the game. Hopefully we'll see more of this in the future and the league's use of GoPro cameras throughout the season, playoffs and finals. We've been hearing rumors of the possibility, it would definitely add to the sport and give fans as well as officials a much better view of the play.

I don't know how cumbersome the equipment would be, but even if they mounted them throughout the rink in different locations and heights that would be a start. Being able to see and experience what the players do really gives you a whole new level of respect for their stick and puck handling skills as well as skating abilities. How awesome is it that you can now skate along with Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins, my favorite team and score a goal!
