Oklahoma Holds Many Tornado Records, but Not All of Them
After such a wild weekend of weather in Oklahoma, dozens of tornadoes recorded amidst high winds and big hail, it's only natural that we peek in on the international records for tornadoes.
Spoiler - the USA holds every tornado record in the world.
While most Oklahomans truly believe that we get the absolute brunt of Mother Nature's fury, that's not entirely the case. The records aren't even limited to what we all know as Tornado Alley.
Here's a quick fact... Every state in the union experiences tornadoes. Even Alaska and Hawaii (waterspouts count). Additionally, almost every continent experiences twisters too, the only safe haven being Antarctica.
Still, every measured record associated with 'naders belongs to the US, and the big two categories remain, like a couple of championship blue ribbons, with Oklahoma.
