This Oklahoma Town Named Among the Best Up-and-Coming in the Nation
When it comes to the topic of economic growth in Oklahoma, most people shy away from making bold statements. Especially these past four years.
As a bright spot on the horizon, one Oklahoma town has been named among the best up-and-coming cities in the nation.

While most Oklahomans overlook it as a whole, the country has identified this little-brother of a town as a fast-growing and attractive place for young professionals. It offers affordable housing and a lower cost of living in comparison to the big metro areas of the nation, and the historic and photogenic nature of the downtown areas, arts, and social scenes are arguably the best offered in Oklahoma.
Where is this town?
Tulsa.
Good old T-Town was ranked the #35 best up-and-coming town in America based on all that stuff listed above. If you've been recently, while navigating the place is a nightmare with all of the construction, it's hard to argue that it's not what people say it is.
It's no longer the smaller child of Oklahoma. It's starting to peek out from behind the shadow of OKC.
You may not like the politics, but good people are good people regardless. The food scene is getting to be noticed nationwide, and in terms of affordability, while fancy-Tulsa is expensive, there are lots of non-hipster/non-dink/non-yuppie city-proper and suburbs that offer an easily attainable cost of living.
