As Oklahoma's population continues to grow, currently continuing a 15-year growth trend, social media is full of plenty of conversations on what we do and don't love about the Sooner State.

Of course, the number one complaint is the weather here. That's a given whether you're a newly transplanted Okie or of the old breed. We've all gotten used to the wind, a 20-30 MPH breeze is just that, a breeze, but the rest of Okie Mother Nature is brutal.

Tornadoes are both beautiful and terrifying, I suppose it depends on how close to you one is. Hail is the biggest complaint and the biggest reason that Sooner State insurance rates continue to spike year after year.

People also really like to complain about a lack of things to do, which I personally find ridiculous. These people have never lived in a small town, and it really shows. They've never been cow tipping or snipe hunting.

All the same, there's a lot about Oklahoma we all love. The sunsets are spectacular, especially when we get that weird quilted layer of clouds that ignite like fire with the setting sun. The lower cost of living is great too, but that generally comes hand in hand with lower earnings everywhere across America.

I really love the winter here. It's like an endless fall with small spurts of actual winter sprinkled in.

Here are the most common things people complain about.

Tiny Oklahoma Towns With Populations Less Than 15

The list of tiny Oklahoma towns is surprisingly longer than one might expect. By any metric of measurement, a "small town" in Oklahoma is widely considered under 5,000 people, but these tiny towns of 15 or fewer people redefine how we think of small towns.

Oklahoma's Most Iconic Foods

While Oklahoma isn't often thought of as a culinary destination, it'll surprise you how many iconic dishes either came from or were perfected in this state.

Some of these dishes are wild, others are rare, and we finally settle the debate on what does and doesn't belong in chili.
