President Trump has announced that he's seeking ways to ban all non-tobacco flavored e-liquids. Recently there's been 6 total deaths linked to vaping, most were THC cartridge involved and a few nicotine juices as well. So what's the one thing all these cases have in common? The people who died from vaping these products purchased their e-liquids and THC cartridges/oils off the street, not from reputable shops or online retailers.

So far the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) and the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) have recorded deaths from vaping in California, Oregon, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana and recently in Kansas. 6 confirmed deaths so far and they expect around 450 plus possible cases of serious injury, lung damage and pulmonary disease to other people due to vaping. Visit the official CDC website for additional details and information. You can also check the official FDA website.

I don't believe there have been any deaths of minors due to vaping, at least I couldn't find any when searching online. However there have been some hospitalizations due to illness that involved minors who had been vaping. In all these cases both nicotine and THC vaping were mentioned, not one or the other. Knowing which is causing the problems isn't 100% known yet. So why does President Trump want to ban all non-tobacco and non-menthol flavored e-liquids?

According to Trump they target kids with these flavors and that's who's buying them. I completely disagree! I know a TON of people who vape flavored e-liquids with and without nicotine who aren't minors. They enjoy different flavors and change them up frequently. The whole argument that the vaping world is deliberately targeting underage customers is total garbage. Otherwise we'd be discussing banning all alcoholic drinks that are fruit and candy flavored. What about adult medicines that are cherry, grape and bubblegum flavored? This argument in my opinion is false and misleading.

I might be a cynic, but I think the real reason is money, plain and simple. This has NOTHING to do with public safety and health. It has everything to do with big tobacco, big pharma and lost state and federal tax revenues. THAT'S THE TRUTH, at least how I see it! I've been vaping for the past 5 or 6 years and managed to quit smoking thanks to vaping. I'm much healthier, happier and spending a lot less when compared to smoking.

Over the years I tried and tried again to quit smoking and using tobacco. The gums, patches and lozenges NEVER WORKED. I started vaping and within a week stopped smoking. The best part, it was easy and I've been tobacco free for 5 or 6 years now. Well I'm not spending my money on big tobacco, pharmaceutical nicotine products and there's no more tax revenue being collected from my bad habit. THERE'S THE REAL PROBLEM!

The government wants to regulate this and put big tobacco and big pharma back in charge. Plus introduce new taxes, both at the Federal and I'm sure state level on all vaping related products to offset losses! There's money to be made, our legislators and elected officials want to be paid and at this time the vaping industry doesn't have a strong lobby...
