Rogue Deer Takes Out Skateboarder at 40 MPH
As many an unlucky motorist knows, deers don't always have the proper respect for fast moving objects.
Of course those encounters almost always end much worse for the animal. In the video above, a confused deer runs into something closer to its own size and lives to tell its deer friends about the dangers of crossing the road.
The incident took pace at the annual Buffalo Bill downhill longboard race outside of Golden, Colorado. As you can see, the deer takes out one of the boarders, who was going about 40 MPH, and then keeps running into the woods. The deer seems to escape without serious injury and the skater was released after going through some tests at the ER.
The whole scene was recorded via the helmet cam of one of the other skaters. If not for the random deer attack he would've just gotten boring footage of skaters rolling down a hill. So, really, he's the big winner here.
