Not only is the town of Talihina, OK. and the surrounding valleys and mountains prime sasquatch territory, but it's also the location for the Kiamichi Mountains Big Foot Conference. A 3-day event featuring subject experts, witnesses, authors, and even famous TV hosts from popular shows.

While Oklahoma may not have a Buc-ee's we do have Gasquatch! Have you ever heard of this massive gas station, car museum, gift shop, eatery, and world-famous tourist stop in Idabel, OK? It has to be the Sooner State's biggest and best roadside attraction. It's one of the largest and most unique stops in the state.

Oklahoma could be one of the very first states to introduce an official season for Bigfoot. State Representative Justin Humphrey has just submitted a bill that would create an official hunting season for Sasquatch. House Bill 1648 requests that the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission consider a proposal to outline guidelines, annual season dates and all related licensing and fees Oklahoman's will be expected to pay to hunt for Bigfoot. Well not hunt, more like trap Bigfoot.

Save Sasquatch. That was the desperate plea Chautauqua County legislators heard from Peter Wiemer, owner of We Wan Chu Cottages on Chautauqua Lake in upstate New York.

The dates for Sasquatch! 2013 were announced last fall, and now there’s a killer lineup to accompany it. The festival – set to take place at the scenic Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash., on Memorial Day weekend, May 24-27 – boasts appearances by the Postal Service, Mumford and Sons, the xx and many more.
