The 101st Airborne As They Prepped For D-Day

As you see videos and pictures pop up online today, don't forget about the volunteer troops that jumped out of perfectly good airplanes in the wee hours of this morning. As Germans tried to pluck the planes out of the sky, troops dropped everywhere. While it was chaos, and nobody really knew what was going on with their units, it was the type of event that proved beneficial as the Germans didn't know how to counter these paratroopers as they were seemingly being dropped randomly across the country. Funny how things work out.
